The Photo Booth for prospective students
The user clicks the button to take a series of 5 photographs. A single photograph is then selected as their preferred photo. Flash takes care of getting the camera input and provides the user interface.

Give an email address to get your pic
The user types in their name and e-mail address. From there the data and image is passed down to PHP where it is resized to a thumbnail and saved to a database.

HTML e-mail delivered with the user's image
The email is primarily a marketing tool for the school. Links to the Academy of Art - School of New Media website, their Facebook page and Twitter stream are all sent along with the user's image. A copy of the email gets sent to the school where they follow up on the lead.

The large wall of picutres
A large selection of new images are shown in the lobby of the school on their large screen monitor. Users can see their photos as soon as they leave the Photo Booth.

Why Flash was chosen to run the Photo Booth
Although Flash and Actionscript3 are on their way out, they were selected as the technologies for this project as HTML5's camera facilities have not yet been implemented in all browsers.
